Days out with Lapasa

When Lapasa sent us some beautiful activewear from their new UK line, Steven and I decided the best way to try it out would be with one of our favourite coastal walks. Whilst we both go to the gym, getting out and about for a walk is one of our favourite ways to stay active. Long walks are extremely therapeutic for me. Being out in the fresh air surrounded by nothing but seaside on the left of you, and countryside on the right is the best place to clear your mind, get your thoughts together and also just to talk. We always get into the deep and meaningful conversations during our walks which is just one of the things I love about them.

We chose to head to Dunnottar Castle in Stonehaven, because every single time we’ve been to Stonehaven in the last month it has rained… so having it cloudy with a bit of sporadic sun was the very best weather we could hope for to get these photos… you see… summer is over after roughly a day (or two) in Scotland particularly in the North.

I went for the Lapasa Yoga pants. They were slimming and fitted snugly. I often struggle with gym leggings because I’ve got quite wide hips and a small waist meaning that I’m constantly pulling them up throughout my workout which is a pain! I got these in a medium, and didn’t have a problem at all. They were true to the size description, as was the racerback workout top that I went for too. Although it seems like a silly thing to think when it comes to the gym, I thoroughly enjoy when my workout clothes look and fit nicely. The racerback covered my favourite sports bra perfectly, and although it is a stretch material it didn’t feel like all of my lumps and bumps were on show but again like the leggings it didn’t budge, and I didn’t have to constantly readjust my clothing!

Steven opted for the CUPRO performance T-shirt because of it’s light weight and comfortable fit. With it’s advanced anti-odour technology, moisture management and cling-free material it’s perfect for the gym, especially if you work hard in there. The breathability, ventilation under the arms and light weight material means that you are less likely to over heat when working out, leaving you feeling sticky and uncomfortable. The fit of the t-shirt comes in a little snug, hugging the arms and a little short. Not that you can complain about the arms, but for shoulders day in the gym it might be worth sizing up so that you have a little more freedom of movement. These are definitely not faults of the top, just tips for those who like a looser fitting gym top.

We were so glad to get out of the house after feeling a bit cabin fevered over the past few weeks. Getting out of the house, and going for this walk after one of the busiest weeks we’ve had was lovely.
