Natural Dermatology sent me one of their Antibacterial Cleansers to try, and I’ve been using it for a few weeks and have FINALLY got round to putting my thoughts onto paper (screen, really isn’t it?).
I am renowned for being RUBBISH when it comes to cleansing. I’ve tried everything, but the real problem is that I cannot get in to a good cleansing routine… I commit the cardinal sin of beauty and go to bed wearing my make-up far too often (it’s disgusting I know, but I’m rubbish at being a girl, what can I say?). So, when Natural Dermatology got in touch, I saw it as a sign to finally grow up and try to get myself in to a cleansing routine… it’s been about 3 weeks, and so far I have had my ups and downs with training myself to actually take my make-up off. It’s really difficult okay?! The most I’ve managed to use it every single day for so far is 2 weeks, you can blame a very boozy Friday night for the hiccup.
Natural Dermatology produces natural, cruelty free products for acne prone skin (and other skin types too.) I don’t have acne, but I do get disgusting black heads because my pores are enormous and absolutely every little piece of dirt gets stuck in there. I have always struggled to find products that can budge the dirt in my pores without the product drying my skin out, or leaving it feeling sensitive and sore after scrubbing it so much. I love how gentle this cleanser is on my skin, the anti-inflammatory properties of the cleanser leave my occasional HUGE spots looking smaller and less red in colour which is ideal, because when I do get spots, they are big bad boy spots.
First thoughts of using the product was that it smells beautiful, the geranium extract smells so lovely compared to the usual chemically/plain unscented cleansers that those with allergies, sensitive acne prone skin are recommended to use. You don’t have to compromise with the natural dermatology cleanser. It’s hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and free from fragrances and harmful harsh chemicals as well as being completely vegan and cruelty free (the dream).
So, I’ve been using it for a wee while, and I have noticed a huge difference in the build-up of blackheads on my chin, which is my problem area, probably because I sit with my head in my hands all day every day contemplating life, and I wear a LOT of makeup every day too. My chin is clearer, with less teeny blackheads (the ones you can never get rid of) and it keeps getting better. The fact it’s antibacterial helps me to no end, because I am so bad for picking my skin if I have spots and blackheads, and I know it only makes them worse, but I cannot help it. The anti-bacterial side of this cleanser helps with the healing of this too because it clears out all the grossness I have forced into my skin by picking away at it!
Because I love the Natural Dermatology cleanser THAT much, I’ve teamed up with Natural Dermatology to give you your chance to win one yourself!
